Artist's Comments

I watched these two people as I was taking photos. The man was trying to talk to the woman, but she would not hang her phone up.

I like street.

Nice composition. Really brings the focus to them and their situation, which you've captured nicely, as well.

Nice use of the steps as guidance throught the shot. You've placed the two people very well within the frame, too. I personally would vote for more contrast, but then we both know I'm a contrast freak in b/w ;)

Really nice picture, man :D

Such drama in a single shot. Very nice. The emptiness that the stairs makes it feel as if trouble is brewing and something bad is gonna happen. A little more contrast (maybe lighter?) would probably make it a bit more drastic but nonetheless the shot is great! Keep up the good work! :D I enjoy every picture you put up!

Are you happy?

Wow, nice!!! I just had to click on this and take a closer look. The placement of the people is great; it really gives the feeling of isolation.

I would describer her as, "What a b*tch" or on the flip side the guy is a major wimp. If I couldn't get here attention and it was so important she wouldn't get off the phone...I'd leave her ass there. Your composition is impecable here. The horizontal lines of the stairs fills the negative space quite nicely. The moment is perfectly captured as to the feeling of each person. She could care less about his urgency...you can see his frustration. Nice study.

That's a very very nice shot! Not only am I totally fond of how you emphasize the peoples' body languages and especially the repelling attitude of the woman by choosing them not to be centred in this photograph - I think it's the magnificent subtle adjustment of levels that brings this photo to life and makes it a real treat :aww:

Love it!

If memories could be canned, would they also have expiry dates? If so, I hope they last for centuries.

I like the repetitionsin the steps, it reinforces time and how it keeps going on and on for the guy. That lady seems to be a pain, I mean her own loved one is right in front of her and she contiunes to talk on the phone. Love the grain here it really makes it feel displaced. Poor guy. This also can relate to the Holiday season in that we're so busy pleasing others and doing things for other people that we forget those who are arround us- the ones that truly need our attention the most.
