I was out for most of the day shooting. I just finished filling all my cards. (all 256-16-16 MB cards, yes I need some bigger ones!) I was walking back, and decided to see which shot I could delete from the card and get one last shot in. I'm glad I deleted it, to make room for this one. Just as I started to set up the shot, I see a plane truckin across the sky. HURRY! *click* wait 15 seconds. Burned into the digital realm, I viewed this photo on the shitty LCD screen.
Needless to say, I drove home as fast as I could. I had to see this on screen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Rest of the world. I was too young to vote when Bush was elected. Of course he was not really elected by a majority of Americans in the first place.
Thanks a lot man. You made me laugh with that last sentence! I plan on doing so! New tripod. I actully got just a Bogen ball head, not grip and a pan head, and I can put the pan head on top of the ball head and have a pan ball head, but that's just a little extreme...ya never know though.. And I used some legs I had laying around....but the mount was a little different....so. I did some fabrication to make an adaptor!
Anyhow...I plan on doing more! this was a site I had in mind for some time, just like the other shot I did. (Industrious Glory)
Thanks for the comment.
If you've never fucked anything up, you haven't done much.
I spent a good 2 hours at the beach with my new digital camera and old tripod today and my last shot of the day is the best as well. I'll have to wait untill I get home to post them though.
I adore this very much. I need to attempt some long exposures, just have to find some great compositions like you did. This photo reminds me of getting ready to go to college. The airplane streak is kinda the guiding light, so to speak, and the tower is college itself. What made it neat was that you said this was taken at a college. The colors in this are amazing and the shilouettes made by the tree really add. You keep getting better and better.
